The COSMO-RS-Symposium 2009 held in the lovely Conference Hotel Maria in der Aue from March 30 – April 1, 2009, was a great success. In 30 oral presentations and 23 posters, mostly given by experienced users of COSMO-RS, a large number of most different applications of COSMO-RS were reported. Almost all speakers ended with the conclusion that COSMO-RS has opened entirely novel possibilities of solvation and fluid phase thermodynamics calculations for them. About 95 participants from academia, governmental organizations, and industry from all over the world contributed to the success of the symposium by active communications, discussions, and networking.
